c.16th/17th Century A.D. A (Maritime?) Iron hook from the River Thames, London and from an old 1990's collection of Thames finds. This ornately shaped iron hook features an elongated eye and may well have originated from a ship or boat of some kind, some surface roughness to iron from its time buried in the silt but otherwise totally intact, metal sound and stable, an interesting Thames item, 88mm long x 13mm at widest x 33mm deep
