c.3000-2000 B.C. A blade end fragment from a Neolithic polished stone axe head found in the early part of the 20th Century in the Dordogne Region of France and from an old French lithic collection. The fragment is from a well defined and highly polished flint axe head and is very tactile having very smooth outer surfaces. Some peripheral damage to blade edge from its time buried in the ground, otherwise in nice condition and a very affordable and collectable sample of a polished axe, 53mm long x 44mm wide x 17mm thick
