SOLD
c.1st Century B.C. A Celtic bronze toggle cloak fastener found in the Midlands and from a Staffordhsire collection. Large loop for pushing through an eyelet in a cloak or similar garment, the other end with a smaller loop that would have been stitched to the garment. It would function much in the same way that toggle fasteners on duffle jackets do. Piece of small loop missing and a couple of minor knocks otherwise good and intact and an affordable example of the type, 37mm long x 22mm at widest.
