Product Description

c.8th-9th Century A.D. A cheap pair of Anglo Saxon bronze finger rings found in North Yorkshire and from a Durham collection. One ring is small (possibly a child's) but ornate with a circular bezel and featuring a chip carved border and quadrant design, each of the quadrants has a engraved dot which was then inlaid with coloured glass or enamel, two of which still remain in-situ (orange in colour), intact and in good condition and a nice little Saxon ring. The other ring is a simple but larger bronze hoop ring, once again intact and in god overall condition with a shiny dark green patina. The smaller ring measures 13mm internal diameter, bezel 9mm diameter. the larger ring 20mm x 18mm internal diameters. A nice and affordable pair of ancient rings.
