c.5-10 million years old. The fossilised head and jaw from a large carnivorous fish, found in Red Crag deposits near Felixstowe, Suffolk. The fish somewhat resembles a small pike but with a great many tiny needle like teeth. An old Suffolk collection piece. Clearly defined on upper surface with large eye apertures. Jaw on underside also very clear and complete with several displaced teeth. An interesting and tactile piece. 74mm long x 48mm wide x 26mm thick.
