c.1300-1400 A.D. A good and complete Medieval Strap-end Buckle found 04/02/2000 in Kirby Cane, South Norfolk and from an old London collection. It features an elongate buckle plate into which the leather strap would have been affixed and held in place by a single rivet, an oval hoop and small hinged pin, all of which are still intact. Probably once silvered or gilded but now just bronze. Good overall condition with a pleasant dark green patina, a decent and complete example of the type, 31mm long x 9mm wide (strapend) / 16mm (Hoop) x 3mm thick
