A great value collection of 12 x assorted Mesolithic Portland Chert flaked core tools, scrapers & blades, all excavated close to the famous Culverwell habitation site, Portland Bill, Isle of Portland, Dorset and from a Hampshire Geologists collection but originally hailing from an older collection amassed in the 1970's. Contains some interesting pieces and all are clearly worked, all in nice condition and pleasantly patinated throughout. At less than £3.00 a piece, this collection represents a great value study or retail group, pieces typically 40-50mm long x 25-40mm wide.
