A good group of 4, decent sized lead musket balls recovered from the River Foyle at the Siege of Derry battle site in Northern Ireland which occurred the 18th April 1689 and from an old Northern Irish collection. [The Siege of Derry was a rebellion against Catholic King James II that began in 1689 when he demanded the city surrender to him. The siege was part of a larger conflict between James II and Protestant William III over the English throne. James II's attempts to give equal rights to Roman Catholics and Protestant dissenters led to conflict with Parliament. On April 18, 1689, James II led an Irish army to the walls of Derry and demanded the city surrender. The city refused, and the siege began. The siege lasted 105 days, making it the longest siege in British and Irish military history. The siege ended on July 28, 1689, when a relief fleet broke the boom across the River Foyle and brought provisions to the people of Derry]. All musket balls in very good condition with just minimal impact damage, the musket balls measure between 14mm and 19mm in diameter and are a good addition to any Battle based collection, comes complete with custom engraved black acrylic display sign,
