Hoxnian Interglacial period (MIS11) c.424k-374k BC. A good Lower Paleolithic "Clactonian Industry " flint hand saw found many years ago at the famous Lower Paleolithic site of Barnham Pit, Suffolk and from an old Norfolk collection. Fashioned from a large flake of honey coloured flint, largely flat underside but worked and re-touched over upper surface to form a wide denticulated (serrated) saw blade. Intact and in very nice condition, possessing a nice surface ageing / patination and pleasant old Paleolithic colouration, a nice early example form a notable early Paleolithic site, 77mm long x 38mm wide x 20mm thick
