A good Mesolithic flint bladelet core excavated close to the famous Culverwell habitation site, Portland Bill, Isle of Portland, Dorset and from a Hampshire Geologists collection but originally hailing from an older collection amassed in the 1970's. A nicely worked main flint core from which the small bladelets and micro-liths synonymous with Mesolithic tool making, were struck. Clearly worked and well defined, a good example of a worked Mesolithic core from a famous Mesolithic site, 49mm long x 43mm at widest x 35mm,
