c.300,000 to 200,000 BC. A good Mid-Palaeolithic heavy butted, pointed flint hand axe found some years back at Overstrand, Near Cromer, North Norfolk and from an old Norfolk collection. Nicely worked from a large thick whitish grey coloured flint flake. Bifacially worked with a well defined axe point. Intact and in nice overall condition. A good, affordable early pointed hand axe, approx. 85mm long x 65mm wide x 45mm thick
