Product Description

c.300,000 B.C. A good pointed Mid-Paleolithic flint pointed hand axe found many years back in Northrepps, Norfolk and from an old Norfolk collection. Well fashioned from a large thick triangulated flake of mottle grey / black flint, bi-facially well worked to form a thicker handle / grip section and a distinct functional trihedral axe point. Totally intact and in very nice condition with an appealing overall whitish surface patina with iron oxide highlights, 88mm long to point, 80mm wide x 34mm at thickest
