c.2nd/3rd Century A.D. A good Roman bronze open-ended bangle / armlet found many years back in south eastern Germany and from a Scottish collection. Of typical simplistic fabrication from thin beaten bronze strip with a flat inner side and slight convex outer surface with a small, shallow raised decorative bezel at its mid point with incised cross hatch design. Some light encrustation as excavated and slight surface roughness otherwise intact and reasonable with a patchy light and dark green patina, band 5mm wide, approximate size of armlet 55mm x 46mm
