c.3rd Century A.D. A good sized and rare segment of Roman multicoloured mosaic flooring excavated in the late 19th Century on a known Roman Villa site in Gloucestershire, U.K. and hails from an old Victorian collection. It features fragments of both a design and a border section in assorted cream, black, brown and umber coloured tesserae, this slab was excavated in two pieces and skilfully repaired to whole sometime in the distant past. In very good overall condition and supplied with a large perspex display stand, a rare chance to obtain a good segment of Romano-British mosaic from a Victorian antiquaries collection, 135mm long x 115mm wide x 25mm thick
