c.4000 B.C. A good sized and attractive Neolithic flake spear head found many years back in the famous Prehistoric site of Le Grand Pressigny, Touraine, France and from an Hampshire Geologists collection. Expertly fashioned from a large thin section flake of attractive honey / toffee coloured flint, so synonymous with this area of France and has a flat underside and distinct flake scars on upper surface, further retouching evident around perimeter of spear head to further enhance blade edges. Intact and in excellent condition with nice surfaces and attractive colouration, a good sized and appealing Neolithic flake spear head, 69mm long x 54mm at widest, 6-10mm thick.
