c.2nd / 3rd Century A.D. A good sized and attractive Roman terracotta Wine Flagon from an old Yorkshire collection. This attractive Wine Flagon has a shallow pedestal base with wide bulbous body tapering to a narrow short neck with out turned rim and small flat loop handle between neck and shoulder of flagon. Some light surface accretion as excavated from its time buried in the earth and a couple of small minor scrapes but otherwise totally intact and un-repaired. A pleasant and appealing Roman vessel, approx. 155mm tall x 130mm diameter.
