Product Description
Lower Ordovician period c.480-460 million years old. A good sized and pleasant fossil Trilobite (sp. Ogyginus Cordensis) excavated in Built Wells, Powys, Wales. [Trilobites were arthropods (they belonged to the phylum Arthropoda) — like many invertebrate animals living today, including crustaceans, spiders and insects]. A good sized and clearly defined example within a carefully shaped and prepared shale matrix slab. Minor ancient loss from side of head otherwise complete and good, Trilobite 77mm long x 50mm wide, slab 89mm x 69mm wide.
