(c.3400 - 2800 B.C. Danish Funnel Beaker Culture); A good sized and pleasant nice Danish Neolithic polished flint axe from the Funnel Beaker Culture c.3400 - 2800 B.C. which has been professionally re-hafted in a prototypical carved and shaped antique wooden handle. The handle has been professionally made based upon the remains of actual wooden handles from the period and it also clearly has some age about it; it is believed that the re-hafting was done sometime in the mid 20th Century as the piece comes from an old Yorkshire collection. This axe would make a great display and conversation piece or indeed an excellent centre piece for a Lithic collection, supplied with a plastic display stand. Approx. 365mm long, Flint Axe 137mm long x 52mm wide x 20mm at thickest.
