c.12th-14th Century A.D. A good sized, robust and excellent Medieval bronze "Stirrup" finger ring, found in Cambridgeshire. A good sized example with a 19mm internal hoop diameter, ring probably once silvered or gilded but now merely bronze with a pleasant green patina. A narrow recessed bezel probably once held a small coloured glass infill or semi-precious gem, now sadly lost but otherwise totally intact, in very nice condition, of good metal with nice surfaces and still wearable if required, a nice example of the type, size bezel to base of hoop 29mm, max width 24mm, internal diameter 19mm.
