SOLD
c.14th/15th Century A.D. A good sized, thick and heavy Medieval floor tile featuring an interlaced design found in the River Thames, London. Of particularly thick and heavy construction and featuring and elaborate interlaced Saxon like design, the tile was obviously a high quality example at the time and probably came from an impressive house or chapel floor. Old loss to one corner otherwise intact with some light water wear to design as is to be expected from its time submerged but the design is still clear nonetheless, supplied with a plastic display stand, 128mm square x 32mm thick.[A slightly higher postage applies due to this items weight]
