c.7th-9th Century A.D. A great value group of 3 x Anglo Saxon bronze "Zoomorphic" strap ends found in North Yorkshire and from a Staffordshire collection. The group consists of two largely complete strapends, one with a typically rodent like head and both featuring engraved geometric designs on the upper surface. The third is the tip end of a much larger and ornately engraved strap end featuring an almost snake like head terminal. All have some loss and/or surface wear but are otherwise in reasonable and still very collectable condition; the group makes a great value starter, study or retail lot, the largest strap end measures 39mm x 14mm, the smallest 26mm x 13mm.
