c.2nd Century B.C. A great value group of 4 x assorted Celtic bronze and potin "Ring Money's" found in Essex and from a Essex collection. These bronze / potin rings have been excavated Worldwide in Celtic / Iron Age contexts, often in groups and sometimes found strung onto bronze bangles. These are widely considered to have been an early form of Iron Age currency. These examples are intact and in very nice condition with deep olive green surface patination, smallest 18mm diameter, largest 24mm diameter, a good value and interesting study or retail group.
