Hoxnian Interglacial period (MIS 11-10) c.424,000 to 374,000 years old. A large and attractive early Paleolithic flint scraper tool found many years back at the famous Prehistoric site of Elveden, Suffolk and from an old Norfolk collection. Fashioned from a large attractive flake of multi-hued flint with a thick grip end and a slightly convex main cutting and scraping blade edge opposite, with further retouching to enhance it. Bifacially worked and fits nicely in the hand for use. Intact and in very nice condition with an attractive old colouration and surface patination, a good sized and appealing early flint scraper tool from a notable prehistoric site, approx. 85mm wide x 50mm deep x 25mm thick
