c.3500-3000 B.C. A large, superb and very finely worked Neolithic / Pre-Dynastic Egyptian flint Leaf shaped knife, collected many years ago and from an old Canadian private collection. An excellent and very finely worked bi-facial piece fashioned from a pleasant pale grey flint; very well defined and symmetrical, of thin section with expertly pressure flaked and still sharp blade edges all round. Totally intact and in excellent overall condition with good surface ageing and patination, a large and excellent example of its type, 100mm long x 48mm wide x 4mm thick.
