c.3500-3000 B.C. A large and very finely worked Neolithic / Pre-Dynastic Egyptian  flint Leaf shaped knife, collected many years ago and from an old Canadian private collection. An excellent and very finely worked bi-facial piece fashioned from a mottled reddish-grey flint or chert; very well defined and symmetrical, of thin section with expertly pressure flaked and still sharp blade edges all round. Totally intact and in excellent overall condition with good surface ageing and patination, a large and excellent example of its type, 100mm long x 46mm wide x 5mm thick.
