c.1400-1450 A.D. A large and excellent quality Medieval socketed iron Cross Bow bolt tip found some years back in the West Midlands and from an old Midlands collection. This sizable Cross bow bolt has a deep socket at one end for insertion of a thick wooden shaft and an elongate quad sided solid iron tip. Totally intact with no impact damage, good sound surfaces and in excellent condition for ancient iron. A larger and much better than normal example of the type, 90mm long x 11mm wide x 11mm thick, socket approx.13mm
