c.7th/8th Century A.D. A large and pleasant Anglo Saxon Pin found in Yorkshire and from a Scottish collection. A large and ornate chip carved bronze head with diagonal radial lines and a small central impressed cross on the top, small ferrule at base and around 50% of the original bronze pin remaining. Lower part of pin missing but otherwise complete and in very nice condition with good surfaces and a most attractive dark green surface patina, a nice example of the type, head 13mm diameter, total length 43mm.
