c.1st Century B.C. A large and pleasant Celtic bronze Horse harness strap mount found in the Midlands and from a Staffordshire collection. A robust example with upper surface featuring a rounded strip moulding along either side and a impressed furrow between, large lateral slot through the mount for a wide leather strap, possibly a horse harness strap. Intact and in very nice condition with an attractive deep green surface patination, pleasant example, 27mm x 27mm x 9mm.
