Hoxnian Interglacial Period c.424,000 to 374,000 B.C. A large and pleasant Lower Palaeolithic flint hand axe found some years back at Overstrand, Near Cromer, North Norfolk and from an old Norfolk collection. Nicely worked from a large thick flake of black, grey and brown flint, bifacially worked with a slightly elongate and well defined functional point. Intact and in nice overall condition. A good and sizable Palaeolithic hand axe, approx. 115mm long x 85mm wide x 45mm thick
