Late Dynastic period c.400 B.C. A larger than normal example of an Ancient Egyptian blue glazed faience amulet of Ptah-Soker,protector of children. Depicted in typical form as a bandy legged Dwarf with hands clasped across waist. Amulet pierced through neck for suspension. Feint barely noticeable hairline repair at neck otherwise totally intact and in good condition. A good sized example pleasantly mounted on a custom made two tier perspex display plinth. From an old Suffolk collection. Ptah 35mm tall (56mm tall on plinth) x 16mm wide x 10mm deep.
