SOLD
c.5th/4th Century B.C. A large and rare Etruscan (Early Italian - pre Roman) terracotta bowl from an old West Country collection. This vessel features a wide squat dished bottom, rising to a narrow straight sided section up to the rim. Probably once glazed and burnished but now largely just terracotta, a feint but stable small old crack on one edge (not detracting) otherwise totally intact and in very good overall condition, a decent robust example of a good sized vessel from this rare Early Italian civilisation, 138mm diameter x 65mm deep.
