c.1st/2nd Century A.D. A large and rare Roman redware terracotta wheel from a childs pull along toy chariot found in London in the 1950's and from an old London collection. Of simple disc form with detail of hub and spokes inscribed into the wheel prior to firing. Some light surface dirt adhering which will easily clean if required, otherwise totally intact and in excellent overall condition with no damage or repair. An interesting and seldom encountered Roman artifact, 58mm diameter x 6mm thick. [The Last photo shows a representative example of a complete toy chariot in a museum].
