A large and stunning Lower Paleaolithic Ovate Bifacial Hand Axe found many years back in Lakenheath, Suffolk and originally Ex.Simon Camm Collection, Cornwall. [Simon, a retired Geologist, over many decades had amassed the most fantastic collection of only the finest quality and rarest examples of Stone Age and Bronze Age artefact's]. This excellent hand axe has been expertly fashioned form a most attractive banded honey and grey coloured flint, very well worked on either side and very uniform in shape. Totally intact with wonderful ageing and a shiny old Paleolithic patination, a superb and very tactile example, 158mm long x 84mm wide x 43mm thick.
