c.3000-2500 B.C. A large and very nicely worked Neolithic plano-convex flint "Slug-knife" found many years back near Swaffham, Norfolk and from a Norfolk collection. Fashioned from an attractive deep blue / grey coloured flint with some original cortex remaining on upper surface. Expertly worked all over the upper surface with excellent, well worked blade edges. Very nice colouration, ageing and surface patination, a large and excellent example of the type, 82mm long x 26mm wide
