c.3000-2500 B.C. A large and attractive Neolithic "Laurel leaf" flint arrowhead found many years ago in Norfolk and from a Cornish collection. Very nicely fashioned from a semi-translucent beige / grey coloured flint. One side flat and smooth with retouching around blade edges, the other side featuring a medial ridge and flaked away either side to form sharp edges and tip, edges then further retouched define and sharpen. Totally intact and in superb condition with a good shiny surface patination, a very nice example of the type, 40mm long x 18mm wide.
