Calctonian Industry c.400,000 - 300,000 B.C. A large "Clactonian" Bi-facial Flint cobble chopper / cleaver found many years ago in Wheelers Lane Gravel Pit, Canford, Dorset and from a Hampshire Geologists collection). Clearly worked bilateral faces with some minor impact damage from use to the main chopping blade edge and a little surface smoothing otherwise good and intact and a decent example of an early hand chopper, 105mm long x 83mm wide x 60mm thick
