Early Bronze age c.1800-1600 B.C. A large, slender and nicely worked Early Bronze age Barbed & Tanged flint arrowhead originally found in Botley, Hampshire in the Mid 20th Century and from an old Hampshire collection.Very nicely fashioned from a pleasant semi-translucent light / dark grey coloured flint, finely worked and pressure flaked on either side with one side featuring a medial ridge along its length topped with some original cortex. One barb now lost and tiny old knocks to the base of the tang and other barb, neither detracting however, otherwise a lovely example with still sharp edges and tip, in lovely condition and a good large example of the type, 44mm long x 22mm wide x 4mm thick.
