6th Century A.D. A large zoomorphic bronze terminal from a huge early Anglo Saxon bronze cruciform brooch found many years back in Norfolk and from an old Norfolk collection. The brooch from which this decorative terminal derived must have been of considerable size and woul likely have belonged to an individual of high status. Likely once gilded but now merely bronze. Of good metal with perfect surfaces, in excellent condition with a most attractive deep green patination, an impressive and attractive Early Saxon artefact, 61mm long x 28mm wide
