A good value lot of 17 x assorted Mesolithic Portland flaked Chert tools excavated close to the famous Culverwell habitation site, Portland Bill, Isle of Portland, Dorset and from a Hampshire Geologists collection but originally hailing from an older collection amassed in the 1970's. The group includes scrapers, blade tools, a notched scraper, various blade cores and a small leaf-shaped arrow point. All pieces clearly worked and well defined with pleasant overall patinations, and in some cases further enhanced with some light iron oxide highlights, a great value and interesting Mesolithic study group at just over £3.00 a piece from a famous Mesolithic site, individual sizes typically range from 30mm to 60mm or so,
