A good value lot of 20 x assorted Mesolithic Portland flaked Chert tools excavated close to the famous Culverwell habitation site, Portland Bill, Isle of Portland, Dorset and from a Hampshire Geologists collection but originally hailing from an older collection amassed in the 1970's. The group includes various forms of scrapers, some denticulated, blade tools and blade cores. All pieces clearly worked and well defined with pleasant overall patination, and in some cases further enhanced with some light iron oxide highlights, a great value and interesting Mesolithic study group at less than £2.00 a piece from a famous Mesolithic site, individual sizes typically range from 40mm to 70mm or so,
