c.4th-3rd Century B.C. A lovely Ancient Greek, red ware terracotta Bowl from the Greek colonies in Campania, Southern Italy. An attractive and nicely made bowl with a flat base and straight tapering sides, most likely a table bowl for olives, nuts or similar smaller foodstuffs and probably would have been a common site on Ancient Greek dining tables. Some light dirt surface accretion as excavated (not detracting) which should easily remove if so desired otherwise the bowl is totally intact and in very nice overall condition, a pleasant example of the type, Ex Old West Country collection, 78mm diameter, 28mm high.
