Mesolithic - Magelmose Culture c.8900-6400 B.C. A lovely example of a Danish Mesolithic flint fabricator / borer tool, made by the Magelmose Culture and from the famous Amose site, Amosen in Denmark. From an old French collection amassed in the 1960's. A good sized example,Tri-hedral in section with clear working , re-touching and flaking all over and a clearly defined functional tip at one end plus a small tranchet chisel blade at the other. A very interesting implement in excellent condition with a most attractive, shiny overall "old collection" surface patina, a very nice example of its type, 100mm long
