c.2nd/1st Century B.C. A nice and robust Celtic bronze Terret Ring (Horse rein guide) found in the Midlands and from a Staffordshire collection. Of thick and heavy construction and featuring a large loop through which the horses reins would have passed with a conjoined smaller squarer loop which would have been fixed to a fastening strap. Intact and in very nice condition with a pleasant overall dark patina, a nice example of the type, 32mm x 27mm x 9mm
