SOLD

c.2nd/1st Century B.C. A nice Celtic bronze "Fleur de Lis" shaped bucket handle mount, found in the Midlands and from a Staffordshire collection. Circular suspension loop to which a metal or leather handle would been attached and a chip carved "Fleur de Lis" shaped mounting plate at the bottom which would have been affixed to the sides of a small Bronze of Copper bucket with three small rivets. Two of which are still in evidence on the rear of the mounting plate. Some surface pitting and small chip to one side of mounting plate otherwise intact and in good overall condition for its age with a pleasant dark green patina, an interesting and unusual Celtic item, 38mm long x 26mm wide x 4mm thick.
