c.2nd/1st Century B.C. A nice Celtic Bronze stirrup mount / fitment found in the Midlands and from a Staffordshire collection. A nicely fashioned capstan style mount which once affixed to an iron stirrup hoop, traces of residual iron still evident in base of fitment. Possibly used for fixing leather support straps to the stirrup. Intact and in very nice condition, an interesting item, 33mm long x 18mm wide x 14mm deep.
