(c.3400 - 2800 B.C. Danish Funnel Beaker Culture); A nice Neolithic Danish flint axe, professionally re-hafted in a prototypical antique wooden handle. The flint axe from the Funnel Beaker Culture of Denmark c.3400 - 2800 B.C. which has been professionally re-hafted in a prototypical carved and shaped antique wooden handle. The handle has been professionally made based upon the remains of actual wooden handles from the period and it also clearly has some age about it; it is believed that the re-hafting was done sometime in the mid 20th Century as the piece comes from an old Yorkshire collection. This axe would make a great display and conversation piece or indeed an excellent centre piece for a Lithic collection, supplied with a plastic display stand. Approx. 430mm long, Flint Axe 128mm long x 43mm wide x 23mm at thickest.
