SOLD

Neolithic c.3000 B.C. A nice Neolithic semi-translucent tanged flint arrowhead found in North Yorkshire in the 1950's/1960's and from an old established Nottinghamshire collection. Skillfully fashioned from an attractive semi-translucent grey flint, worked and from a flint flake on either side and retouched to form distinct sharp blade edges either side of a medial ridge and then carefully knapped at base to form an elongate tang for fixing into a wooden arrowshaft. Attractive colouration with good surface ageing, a pleasant example, 29mm long x 27mm wide.
