B.C..3rd-1st Century. A nice and robust Celtic bronze bangle excavated many years ago in Germany and from an old London collection. Of simplistic but robust form with an oblate form, flat and fairly thick bronze band forming the body and tapering slightly towards the terminals. Probably once silvered or gilded but now just with a pleasant green overall patination with hints of the original high tin content bronze peering through. Robust enough to be worn again if required and in good overall condition with just some very light surface pitting in parts. A pleasant example of the type. Inside diameter 54mm x 38mm.
