SOLD

c.2nd/3rd Century A.D. A nice Roman (Romano-British) Bronze openwork "Trompetenmuster" fibula brooch excavated many years back in London and from a Cambridgeshire collection. The openwork "Trompetenmuster" design consists of intertwined trumpet like shapes and the brooch would have most likely been silvered or gilded in the past. The pin missing as is usual otherwise totally intact and in very nice condition with a pleasant overall dark green surface patination, a nice and unusual Roman brooch from Britains capital, 26mm diameter.
