Product Description

c.3rd/4th Century A.D. A nice Roman socketed Iron arrowhead from an old London collection but originally excavated in Germany many years ago. A narrow pleasant leaf shape blade with elongate conical socket at base for affixing to a wooden shaft. Some surface roughness as is to be expected but otherwise intact and in very good condition for ancient iron; the arrowhead has also had a light coat of micro-crystalline wax to further protect the iron. A very nice example of the type, 83mm long x 24mm wide, socket 10mm diameter
